As Friday was the final day for our externals, we decided to start our holidays with a healthy dose of morning walk at Air Itam Dam Penang.
Photography was a more appropriate description of what we were doing there.
“ some of the pictures in more beautiful details can be found here”
Maybe I should include some EXIF data thingy rubbish to make myself sound more pro LOL.
Picture control used VIVID so newbies out there using Nikon, you should start getting to know your camera better.
Buying an expensive camera doesn’t mean you will definitely 100% sure to take awesome pictures, you need to get used to it first.
Something about taking wideangle photographs in the forests is the greenery, the shades of green is so wide it probably made the metering go crazy…
26mm f/4.2 ISO400 1/200s
My not so successful panning. wasn’t prepared though otherwise I would have set a longer shutter speed.
45mm f/3.2 ISO400 1/164s
55mm f/5.6 ISO400 1/320s
Used a circular polariser, gave me an extra stop or two.
On the way found this Malay boy with his fancy leaf thingy wrapped on his head HAHAHAHA
Oh crap how I wish for a 11-16 to drop from the sky.
Come on first impression? If I said I took some of these pictures in some European country would you believe me?
At first my white balance was set to auto and it was darn bluish, then set to cloudy instead. It’s warmer that way.
I loved the light for that day. Kind of cloudy with lots of beautiful diffused lighting. We were lucky.
Ok, beyond here are pictures that were SUPPOSED to be very nice. BUT I accidentally set my ISO to 1250 OH SHIT. There goes a lot of details, especially the cats.
It looked fine on the LCD screen until I opened it on my laptop.
Phew…that’s all for now.
