Of strong and freaking cold wind- Day 3

4fps sucks…

DSC_6206

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM…all you see first is the head and then the rest is the white body with the easily recognised blue lines passing at 300km/h…

Notice the tracks are slightly tilted for the train to turn slightly cool isn’t it…there are actually double tracks in the middle.

DSC_6210

Oh, here comes our train.

DSC_6212

Started the morning with a healthy dose of speed.

DSC_6219

Isn’t the train cosy or what…it’s is surprisingly comfy and quiet. Japanese has a thing for not TALKING LOUDLY in public transport they find it disturbing for others if they do so. They even don’t turn on their ring tones in public places so they do not disturb others. COOL HUH!!! They’re always thinking of other peoples’ wellbeing. You can’t believe how good drivers they are always on the look out for pedestrians…Unlike us brainless M’sian, BOOO.

I BOW TO YOU OH MIGHTY JAPANESE!

Artsy fartsy outside the train station.

DSC_6265

The Japanese architecture…unmistakable.

MOUNT FUJI!!!!!!!!

Notice how well arranged the cars are even when they are driving…awesome.

This place is called Hakone. And the lake is called Lake Ashi, in Japanese ashi is feet…However some many many many many years ago, the emperor or someone said it sound not-so-nice, so they changed the name to, still Ashi but a different word in Japanese…LOL(WTF am I talking)

On a pirate ship ride. There was supposed to be a brief description on what the ride was all about. But we were too busy having fun with the strong winds and extremely low temperatures. My RM2.50 white gloves didn’t do much good, anyway I just bought it in case of emergency. The other gloves were too thick and huge for pressing the tiny buttons on the camera anyway…pftt…desperate till like that.

DSC_6327

See my hair…awesome wind…

DSC_6317

DSC_6343

From here we took our bus to the top of the mountain.

DSC_6417

This is world’s famous Hakone road…the very winding roads…and it’s just what I had imagined.

DSC_6354

Ok here comes the scary place…hahaha it’s on top of a mountain slope…with steam and smelly rotten egg smell plus scary gusts of strong wind trying to blow you off to mountains every now and then. =O Ok I’m paranoid…a little. Some even managed to climb up higher…

DSC_6362

STEEAMMMMMM….

DSC_6371

The wind sipek geli…

DSC_6370

DSC_6391

It says 1050m…wow…

DSC_6386

DSC_6374

Wooo bubbly bublly…

This place is famous for the hot springs thingy…where they can boil eggs to eat. And the sulphur something something is killing me…almost want to puke. Long long time ago, people thought this place was rather special for only this place when they boil the eggs, the eggs will become black. They thought that this was a gift from the gods and now it became a tourist attraction.

Woooo nice view from the mountain.

After that we descended and on our way to Mt. Fuji.

DSC_6408

During spring this place is supposed to be lush greenery.

DSC_6427

Ooops, lunch 1st.

DSC_6457

After an hour or so….(DAMN in Japan from one place to another takes so much time…wasted lots of time in the bus.)

(Cues angels singing “ahhhhh…………”)

Don’t give up, just shoot…and I got one and only shot like this. But pity the clouds are starting to build up on the mountain peak…DSC_6473

If you happen to go to Mt. Fuji by bus or by car…always look out for a treble cleft on the roads and keep VERY quiet…there is a stretch of road where they purposely make it in such a way when you drive over it, a local folk tune will be heard…kind of spooky especially if you travel on a winter’s night.

See that, it’s snow from two days before…still fresh.

DSC_6492

HEHEHEHE…snowballs…

This day’s hotel is at the side of the lake, one of the five natural lakes formed hundreds of years ago. The last time Mt. Fuji erupted was 300 years ago, and it’s still sleeping ever since.

Dinner in bloody yukata thingy…soooo hot. 8000yen boat thingy with raw fish and seafood.

Hahaha later that night we all went for onsen(温泉)…a.k.a hot spring. Not much of a great adventure but great experience. A typical public hot spring or bath usually requires everyone to go naked and bathe together. Usually both genders are separated, Zhi Hong said he heard that there are some where both genders can bathe together…wooo worth a visit. Anyway, let’s cut to the exciting part. The exciting part is definitely the going naked part. Shitty and funny…I remembered there was this fat naked guy sitting in the resting room, a part of the onsen thingy where people sit in this room to cool off as the onsen is VERY VERY HOT!!!! If you stay too long in it you might die. Anyway…the exciting part is that, you have to get from this room, stripped off your undies and bras, run across the room, open the sliding door, tip toe to the shower, get yourself cleaned properly(makes sure to use the shampoo, I didn’t coz I was too kinzhiong, it’s 马油, must try for soft silky hair) and then slowly get into the pool of steaming hot water…don’t jump in immediately coz it’s REALLY REALLY HOT!!! We put our toes in to try the water and then slowly go into the water…the burning sensation then starts rising up the body…it is advised to not let the water level be above your heart…5-10 minutes is all is needed. We first timers who are not used to the stuffy and hot environment should just leave after a while… Anyway, after we came in the fatty I was talking about came in as well. NAKED of course…walking up and down freely, I don’t have to give further description right. I couldn’t help to not watch…sipek paiseh…well don’t laugh, even at the women side is the same situation. LOL

DSC_6592

OH SHIT, they have vending machines for ice creams WTF!

No I don't have graduated filters. Too cold and no time to think of using filters anyway.
    China people are sick.
